Update v0.1.6
This is an update to the game which includes the following changes:
- Added transition scene when fighting an enemy
- Added new logo
- Added Analytics system
- Added crash logging
- Added OG image generation for blog posts
- Fixed a bug where the story won’t start
- Added API documentation
- Added Linting
- Added Unit Testing
- Added Pause Menu
- Added robust Save/Load system
- Changed some visual elements
This update took 3 months to complete, but the jank is less apparent now. We also added in some DX tools, like crash logging, analytics, linting, unit tests. The save and load allows better DX for saving and loading game states.
If you want to access the Map/Combat view, press F5 or F6. I forgot which one it was. Press it in the main menu. It doesn’t work on mobile cuz duh, where would you put the F5 key? Other than that, the game seems to be ramping up in velocity again, which is great because my hiatus episodes are crazy.
Anyway, You can try the game though it’s kinda empty content wise. But hey! The backend is just as important as the frontend, right? Right? >.>
Also, We’ll be incrementing minor versions instead, so the next update will be v0.2.0. Why? Because putting tons of content in a patch version is crazy. Also because I think it’s just cool.
